Has anyone here set this up as an investment strategy for a Roth IRA yet? I imagine the lack of tax implications would make it very attractive, if your time horizon was long enuf... any input?

-----------------
I currently have IRA funds invested in an ER4 (RP4)portfolio. To be clear, it's really half in a traditional IRA and half in a Roth, because the Roth, being new, didn't have enough by itself to warrant investing in four different stocks.

Because I have more money available in the traditional IRA, I'll probably move the FF entirely to it next year and switch the Roth to growth investments when I add the 1999 contribution. That has nothing to do with what's appropriate for Roth or other IRA investing; it's just a matter of convenience.

Since the tax status of IRA distributions depends entirely on the IRA and not on how the funds were invested, it makes sense to use it for the part of your investments that generates dividend income and forces you to realize gains.
