For flow in a pipe:

If Re < 2100 it's laminar flow
if 2100 < Re < 4000 it's transitional flow
if Re > 4000 it's turbulant.

Now that wasn't so painful, was it?? Well I guess this IS for a pipe, and you ARE looking for a nozzle equation... but my Fluids book isn't much help for me there.

Would it worked if you used the entry conditions of the diverging nozzle (or exit conditions of converging nozzle) for the above equation? That would seem to make sense. Now you've gotten ME curious... keep me posted.
