For travel, I have a TSA-lockable medication bag I can throw into my carry-on or day bag. You can also get travel containers from Amazon with the aforementioned freezer packs. Some last a couple hours, others last a whole day if you're traveling long. They come in soft and hard case varieties. Some of the freezer packs lose their chemicals after long periods of non-use, but you can usually buy replacements. Be sure to check the ratings.

If you're just looking for something to carry your meter and test strips around to work or other daily activities, you can probably find solutions on Amazon. You might also check your local pharmacy. Some come with belt straps or rings you can hook into.

Personally, the kit that came with my meter serves my short-term needs. Check the insides to make sure the slots and straps and pockets conform to your meter's size and and can safely hold your testing supplies.

Who also calls ahead to any hotel he's going to stay at to make sure they have an in-room cooler and if this is just a layover between longer journeys, he may even ask the hotel staff to put his ice packs into the employee freezer behind the front desk so they are freshly frozen in the morning...
