I just mailed my taxes off today and realized that I forgot to sign them. I had them prepared for the first time and I just reviewed his work stapled the w-4's and mailed them off.
Does anybody know if they will be sent back or if I can do anything in the interim? I had to file in 4 states, so I am afraid it will be a mess.
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am hoping that you attached your W-2s and not your W-4s.
If you mailed 5 sets of returns, part or all of them will catch it.
The IRS should send you a letter requesting your signature.
Track the checks. I know someone who did this last year and the IRS lost the check.

I'll take that bet. A return is not a valid return unless it is signed. See the instructions for any "signature" form.

so true. even if you are filing electronically, you are required to submit a separate signed copy of form 8453-OL that IRS marries up with ur elecronic submission.
