The tax software automatically included form 8582. The farm rental is profitable. There is no passive loss to be limited. Is there any reason that I should not delete form 8582 from the return?

Returns containing 8582 can't be efiled until late February, and paper returns won't be processed until late February. Otherwise, I wouldn't care and would just include it. I am finding Congress after end of year tax changes really annoying.

The software is giving me the option to delete the form. I will backup the return before trying. I don't trust that even though it is going to allow deletion of the form that the software won't become irrated.

Are there any other passive activities on your return? If not, then it's OK to delete the 8582, as I don't think its required in that situation.

There are no other passive activities, only W2s and a 1099int.

I will delete, and see what happens.
