Today it hit me, again, how lucky we are to be living here. For ten dollars (with specials and a coupon), I bought a fresh pineapple, six pounds of assorted types of apples, two pounds of "mini carrots", and a treat of sparkling cider for New Year's. This is the middle of winter and it was/is all fresh.

Even in the hinterlands, it is pretty easy to be vegan with produce such as this.
