From Jerusalem Post:

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham, a close Trump ally and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said Saturday's attacks showed Iran was not interested in peace and was instead pursuing nuclear weapons and regional dominance.

"It is now time for the U.S. to put on the table an attack on Iranian oil refineries if they continue their provocations or increase nuclear enrichment," Graham said on Twitter.

Others cast doubt on Pompeo's allegations.

"This is such irresponsible simplification and it's how we get into dumb wars," Democratic Senator and committee member Chris Murphy tweeted. "Iran is backing the Houthis and has been a bad actor, but it's just not as simple as Houthis=Iran."

In the background behind this attack, there is still no evidence that Iran is building or preparing to build a nuclear weapon. It is also unclear that the Houthis are not the current legitimate rulers of Yemen (it depends who you ask). Also, Pompeo has carefully chosen his words ("there is no evidence", rather than they categorically didn't) and decided Iran was guilty by association with those who claimed the attack as retaliation for attacks on their country.

Incidentally, on an unrelated story (possibly ghosts of Christmas past, or maybe ghosts of Christmas future in the US), Israel's prime minister Netanyahu has claimed that he lost two seats in the recent election due to fraudulent voting in Arab districts which elected two Arab ministers to the Knesset (Congress). He's asking that the general elections be delayed until this is investigated.
