my morning sugars are usually in the high 120's and low 130's.

Is this your fasting numbers or your after breakfast numbers?. My fasting has to be <95 which it has been in the low 80's. My after breakfast numbers has to be <120 after 2 hours. Mine has been 96-114. What really helps keep it down is eating just a little protein. It makes such a huge difference. I only have to take after lunch and dinner since those were my higest numbers.
