FWIW....I have bought shares of companies when the stock price is low relative to the 52 week stock price performance and I have bought stocks that were trading close to their 52 week high (like more shares of BAC recently on behalf of my daughter, LaBelle). In all cases, I am buying when my estimate of intrinsic value per share is lower than the currently quoted stock price.
