And the Acc/Dist rating only tracks institutional rather than individual investors. However, institutional participation often drives price movements.

IBD is Investor's Business Daily, a weekday newspaper which contains a wealth of information on securities. The Accretion/Distribution Rating is published in the stock tables of the paper and provides a rough guide on whether institutional investors are loading up or dumping the stock.
