Going to London and then flying from there to France on the same day. Need a certain amount of cash as normally prefer that to using CC's. So need euros for dollars and certainly won't be exchanging at the airport. So before I go, wondered where would be the best place in the States to do this?

We did this some years ago. Bought a few pounds (Hey, it was some time ago), at our bank so we didn't have to take whatever the airport exchange rate was.

We use a Citibank debit card to get Euros from ATM's in Europe. No exchange fee, at least last time we were in Europe.
