But did you read my suggestion that she IMMEDIATELY begin the restricted application. If conditions and ages are as I've estimated them, she is eligible for the restricted application benefit which is 50% of your PIA (or perhaps a bit less due to the maximum benefit on your PIA). This is free $$$ she would be getting while waiting until she attains her 70th birthday at which point she'd switch from the restricted application benefit to begin her own benefit based on her earning record. And as I mentioned, the % max is PER PIA, not per household. Her own benefit has absolutely NOTHING to do with the restricted application benefit.
