There has been a lot of concern recently about how the market has been performing. Frankly, that has surprised me, as both the indexes and my own portfolio have held up pretty well.

The farther I’ve dug into the concern, the more it appears to be linked to rapid growth businesses that are valued based almost entirely on their potential rather than on their delivered results.

That means this has been a good time to have been invested in a dividend growth and value oriented strategy.

I don’t know how long these particular market conditions will last. But I do know that the fact that they exist is a validation of why the iPIG portfolio was invested the way it was. The market’s emotions and preferences are fickle, but cold, hard cash generation remains valuable.

Regards,
-Chuck
