Gotta love turning it political - not.

In talking to people there last week, they gird themselves this time of year for all the dim and darkness. Covid times were tough for the even more isolation of that.

Perhaps they have better payment for services but only having been over a tiny part of the country, people can have a heck of a long way to go to access the services. In the US, this is something people often fail to check when they move to rural areas for a cheaper cost of living.

Interesting story in the NYT this week about an American woman who always wanted to live in Italy and now does.
