Agencies leave rotting whale carcass in Malibu to Mother Nature

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/08/rotting-whale-in-malibu...

MALIBU, Calif. – No government agency is taking action to remove the decaying carcass of a whale on a California beach, making it appear the job will be left to Mother Nature.

The corpse of the huge fin whale created a spectacle on Friday as people wandered down the narrow Malibu beach to look at the remains -- white bones, rolls of blubber and the tail flukes trailing along the water's edge.

I think they should have called in the whale demolition experts from Oregon.

Seems like they could tie a big heavy rope to the tail and hook it to a tug boat and drag it out to Sea to where Great White Sharks and sea birds and crabs and amphipods could eat it?

I think the people of Malibu are going to regret that decision. It will take a lot longer for that whale to decompose than they realize, I'll bet.

Hauling it out to sea was what they did with this one after they dissected it.
