GritsGuru is my nomination for the 2002 Feste.

GG, as he's now commonly known, has been posting on the Fool since 2000. Back when he started he was quite the serious stock investor and continued the trend into 2001. 2002 was when GG really started to shine.

In 2002 he became more involved in the lifestyle (LBYM) and trying to make the Fool a better place (ITF). What he has demonstrated more so than anyone else is his sense of community. He has offered help and solace to most that have needed it. He has also offered up his recipes and his cooking knowledge. He has also given of his wisdom. Not that I'm saying GG is old mind you, just "seasoned", as any great chef or cook would say. To point out his posts that merit consideration you only have to look at some of his most recommended posts.

Living Below Your Means is easy when you use your head

It takes an honorable man to admit he's wrong

When the Fool fell behind, GG picked up the slack.

Though he can't count himself as one of the most popular Fools as he lacks the coveted golden cup I can say that none the less GG is a deserving individual because he has represented exactly what community is about. He has been inclusive, understanding, constructively critical and gave freely of his knowledge.

Though some, or many, may question my judgement and words at time this is by far the most sane post I have ever wrote. As such I hereby nominate GritsGuru for Feste.
