>>>Secondly - general question to all - do you think the change in rule in Jordan and the subsequent uncertainty in the middle east (oil country) will positively affect oil prices?<<<

I've been nosing around this myself for the past week or so. It appears that the change in Jordan has been relatively smooth, and the effect on various commodoties has been somewhere between minor and non-existent. Gold hardly moved, suggesting that general concern over the region's stability hasn't amounted to much.

I rely in large part on analysts for industry and sector projections, and most of what I've read recently isn't very optimistic. Few analysts give much in the way of concrete data to support their conclusions, and seem in large part to be taking the safe route and predicting low oil prices weighing down the industry.
