There is a period that you have to wait before filing a Chapter 7 or they can charge you with intentionally running up the debt. I filed Chapt. 13 so I didn't have that problem.

I had a $5k line of credit attached to my checking account when I filed (in addition to $6k on a VISA with them)....I'm still with Wells Fargo so it isn't like they can retaliate against you or anything.
