"May 2022 be kinder to us. "

My planned 2-day surgery turned into a 2-week long hospital stay and a week in a rehab. hospital.
The day after I was released from the hospitals, we had to call the emergency squad and DW was
admitted to the hospital - still waiting to find out what is wrong.

So sorry to hear that, Howie. My mom passed on January 6; not unexpected, but starting the year off on the wrong foot for sure. Hope your DW will be home soon.

Yes.
Sometimes even teddy bears eat your lunch - and you.

My condolences - losing a parent is a terrible loss even if expected. I recall the year my father
passed- 1997 - and a few days later remember dreaming that he walked into our bedroom.
He told me,
"Whatever you do, don't ever forget!"

I still remember sitting up in the bed, shocked and thoroughly amazed - but I do not to this day
remember a single thing he said to not forget.

Perhaps I would be a better man if I only could remember something - but instead I can only do
what I can.

Perhaps that is enough - perhaps not.

It’s meant as a hug to you and your wife during this long period of convalescence.

And the question mark was a slip of the finger. I meant to hit the exclamation point…..which is nowhere near the question mark.
