Has anyone used their 401(k) in a similar manner? Are there any complications/details that I should be aware of?


As far as I know, you just need to make sure that your qualified expenses equal or exceed the withdrawal. I think you also need to attend at least half time.

"Qualified" expenses are tuition & fees, books & supplies, and room & board. The expenses must be incurred by you, your spouse, your children, or your grandchildren.
