I'm surprised I don't see at least one post concerning the Pope's announcement that he was leaving the end of this month due to health reasons. That's big's never been done.

I think he's courageous in doing it. His health is failing and I can't see the benefit of a person who cannot contribute all that much to the health of the church.

I'm not a Catholic but I'd like to hope they'll elect someone in their 50's as Pope, to give him the advantage of good health and a slower rate of cognitive decline.

It was pitiful watching Pope Paul decline.
