Heather should be starting class right about now. She's teaching 5 different classes: Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science, Earth Science and Integrated Science. She'll have her hands full just creating lesson plans.

She and I Skyped a few days ago and there she was, eating noodles out of a bowl with chop sticks. It seems the apartment didn't have silverware. She was lucky she bought the chopsticks. They do have a rice cooker, though!

She has a patio with a washer and rods in the ceiling to hang her clothes. It has a handle to raise and lower the place to hang the clothes.

She wants to take a 5 week back packing trip to New Zealand next summer but someone at her school told her it is much colder than she realizes (since it is their winter). She might plan it for the following Christmas.

Update about the travel itself: she paid $2400 for business class ticket. She loved business class for such a long trip. But she said Thai Airways was even better than the Lufthansa portion.

I'm not sure this link below is going to work. I'm new to using photobucket. I couldn't figure out how to attach text. The first photo should be inside the Thai airplane. The seat folds down to a bed. The second is a menu from the flight. The next two are from her patio in her apartment in Hanoi. The last one is from the hotel where her teacher conference was held. Hope this works but it's no big deal if it doesn't. If it works, there's an x in the right corner. If you click on that, you will go out to my other photos if you are interested. They are mostly from Panama. There's one album from Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore (it is inside the Facebook folder).
