Hello,

Welcome to the Fool! You'll find lots of great information and helpful opinions here.

The reason it's prudent to list and post your expenses, even the most mundane, is to present as much information possible in order to collect the most useful information possible. It may seem to be an invasion of privacy initially, but it's amazing how many different opinions, spins, hints, etc. that people can give when viewing the same problem/situation from different vantage points and experiences. As is human nature, we all draw upon our own past experiences and use them as tools for present and future behaviors. Hopefully, those experiences, good and bad, have taught us something, and these life lessons can be useful for others facing the same challenges.

Keep as accurate an accounting of your spending as possible; it's amazing where money leaks out of the wallet when we're not paying attention. It's the process of stopping these leaks, then applying that 'found' money to the right targets, that allows one to become free of the shackles of debt.

Welcome again, and good luck with your endeavors. You'll get much support and loads of advice here.
