Where on the tax forms do I enter the $407 our adult, dependent son earned? Turbo Tax deluxe will not let me enter it. There is only space for the husband and wife to enter their info.

Is it 407 or 704? On the other board you said 704. It might make a difference.

There is no reason to enter his income on your return.

If he has sufficient other (unearned) income to require filing a return, then you enter it on his return. And at that level you wouldn't file a return for him unless there was enough withheld that you felt the refund was worth it.

If a dependent has enough income to file a return, they file their own return and do not claim their own personal exemption.

$407 or $704 of W-2 income - either way he is below the filing threshold unless he has some other income as well.

So he doesn't need to file a return unless he had income taxes withheld that you'd like to get back. And you don't include his income on your return.
