Herb.. my first response. seperate ways/divorce is not an option - except for if there were ever infidelity on his part. Sometimes though.and in the last couple years. I do have the thoughts if I can get myself in a self supporting situation by the time the girls leave the nest. I might would be better of going alone. I realize this is the devils trickery and try to quickly put it out of mind.

Hope you didn't misinterpert, I wasn't advocating seperate ways. It was just what happened to me, and actually was done by the ex, not me. I was just trying to point out that saying that there is never enough money and you will always be in debt was a common problem with some people because they view certain things as necessities that aren't. You have to budget what you actually need to survive and compare that to your income and if the latter is greater than the former then there is enough income and lifestyle needs to be adjusted and you have to make the other half understand this. If he isn't going to understand and do something about it you may wind up like I did thru no fault of your own. If you two can get it together and work thru it then so much the better. I wish you luck.
