I'm getting some direction and confirmation on my picks. I finally broke 70 on Friday and Corning came out with news on Thursday that confirmed my pitch.
Corning annouced on 05-31-07 that they expect the Diesel segment of their Enviromental Technology division to have sales of $500-$600 million by 2010. They also believe gross margins will be excellent and contribute significantly to profits.
The past 2 quarters the sales growth in the Diesel segment have surpassed all other segments of their business. This growth rate will only accelerate as older trucks are retired and replaced with new ones with Cornings technology.
Corning began working on this technology in 2002 when the stock could be bought for $1.25 (talk about an oversold condition). There is a similar situation developing now with the APU's for diesel"s which I wrote about on a post on the alternative energy message board on Rocking V's string under Alternantive Energy Investing Landscape.
