Ever wonder why some retailers like GAP and Software ETC refuse to give you cash back and force you to put any extra credit right back on a gift card? It's because they don't get used. I was in software etc the other day and they wouldn't give me $1.50 back!! That means I had to spend at LEAST $8 on their computer magazine to receive my $1.50 back! This is robbery! They realize that if they just make $1 off every person it adds up to hundreds of thousands over the span of the country.


PS- Yes I remembering learning in college that a large portion of those rebate checks are never sent out because the customers forget to ask for them. It's a manufacturer dream come true to advertize their product price as LESS even though most people don't end up sending in the rebate then waiting 2 months for their stupid $10.
