Here's my situation. The house loan was in my name, both the 1st and the 2nd. There was also a line of credit. The first and 2nd were paid off in an agreement per a short sale. The line of credit went to her, even though my name was on it as the primary. Don't ask me how that worked. After our divorce was inked, she filed for a BK, and they never once bothered me.

I don't know all the ins and outs, but the whole time her BK lawyer told me not to worry about it. I did, but apparently, I didn't need to. It was like it never happened.
