Hey Dan,

While the poor use cable TV, I get my TV over the air with an antenna (only slightly more sophisticated than my traditional coat hanger) - and end up with over 25 HDTV stations. It's true that I live without ESPN, HBO, MSNBC, CNBC, The History Channel et al, but I compensate by receiving no less than 11 different PBS stations :-)

Believe it or not, there are large ethnic groups in NYC who have decided that there is nothing worth watching on TV and have adapted their live styles to dispense with them entirely.

But I guess that you are right - it takes too much effort to attach an antenna, so the poor will have to survive with the increased entertainment available on cable TV :-)

Jeff
(A penny saved is a penny earned - and I've probably saved a bundle by not being exposed to the financial advice available on cable :-)
