hey y'all, long time since I popped in around here :)

my attitude on this is maybe a bit different than yours, Nik. while I don't feel obligated to deposit money in various tip jars everywhere they appear, I will go out of my way to ditch loose change (I call it shrapnel) with the usual exception being quarters since I like to keep those in my vehicle console in the event that I need to feed the meter and I can't do it via card or app.

I would say I pay for things with cash less than 1% of the time these days. I don't see offloading my shrapnel as giving up my money so much as leaving it where someone else will appreciate it more than I will.

have a great day everyone.
