Hi Captain, have you ever shared the source or your covered call selector?

No.

If not, is there a thread chain where you go into detail explaining your process for selecting the specific stocks for your covered calls?

No. My focus has been on selecting the best options which is the hard part. Just about any stock will do. Just watch out for certain pitfalls like earning reports, falling stocks (changes from week to week or month to month), risky stocks (I dislike credit risk and stuff like bitcoin). The best stocks for income are gently increasing in price.

Just start adding stocks to your list and you'll soon find out that great stocks like VISA and MasterCard don't have great calls but growth stocks like Saul and ARK Invest do. High priced stocks are also out because you must buy round lots (100 shares) for each option contract. The larger your portfolio the higher priced stocks you can manage. There is no "formula" just trial and error.

To find a good number of covered call posts search this board with

The main difficulty in making the Covered Call Selector public is access to free option chain data. The only downloadable source I have found is at the CBOE

https://www.cboe.com/delayed_quotes/vix/quote_table

and the site says:

PLEASE NOTE: IT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO DOWNLOAD DELAYED QUOTE TABLE DATA FROM THIS WEB SITE BY USING AUTO-EXTRACTION PROGRAMS/QUERIES AND/OR SOFTWARE. CBOE WILL BLOCK IP ADDRESSES OF ALL PARTIES WHO ATTEMPT TO DO SO. THIS DATA IS PROPERTY OF CBOE LIVEVOL OR ITS DATA PROVIDERS. DOWNLOADING THIS DATA IN ANY OTHER WAY THAN BY MANUAL TICKER SYMBOL ENTRY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

After they upgraded the download page downloading got even more cumbersome.

Option chain data is highly perishable/volatile. Two day old data is just about useless.
