Hi everyone,

Like Mark, I'm a technical writer, so I'm paid a nice salary to write. While it does get dry and tedious at times, I like to think that I'm helping my readers (if there are any, yuck yuck) to become independent and empowered.

My current audience is not technically inclined. If because of my user guides my readers accomplish things on their own that they didn't think they could before, then maybe it'll give them the confidence to try more advanced tasks without having to ask the business analysts for help.

I don't write fiction on the side but I have been wanting to write a couple of screenplays or at least a short story or two. I have plenty of ideas, feelings, and impressions that I'd like to share with others.

In general, I write because I want to connect with people. I write better than I speak (I sometimes stutter and forget words and hence lose confidence), so writing allows me to communicate my thoughts more effectively.
