I saw your question about the 2% AGI exclusion for Job Expenses and Most Other Miscellaneous Deductions lines 20 through 26 on a Schedule A form.

If you follow that form, entries on lines 20 through 22 are summed on line 23. Your AGI from Form 1040 line 36 is entered on line 24. Line 25 has you multiply your AGI by 2%. This is the 2% exclusion that you subtract from line 23 to get your miscellaneous deduction.
