Hi, I use Commsec and bought AT&T directly through them a few months ago via their internet site. No problems, though I haven't got a statement yet and you can't keep a check on your holdings directly on the site, which could be a problem with multiple stocks. I'd have to say the purchase was VERY straight forward. I have also been thinking of purchasing on the NASDAQ. Commsec apparently allows this. Have you looked at some "SPIDERS"..eg the stock QQQ on the nasdaq is a nasdaq tracking index stock which might be worth a look. Shame I didn't buy yesterday...with the recent volatility and the unstable Aussie dollar..hold on to your pants as you ride the rollercoaster! AB
