Hi Ken - Here are a couple of things that may be putting pressure on the stock price.

1) Recent reports out of Taiwan of rising sea levels that had been attributed to global warming have proven to be incorrect. The sea level hasn't gone up, rather the island is slowly sinking under the weight of LCD glass that is building up in manufacturers inventory at an alarming rate.

2) Customers appear to be maintaining their reluctance to spend money on products that utilize LCD glass, so their doesn't appear to be any near term relief in sight. LCD glass is a high-margin product so this has a big impact on GLW.

3) Nobody is willing to bet that sales to auto / engine mfg will help the situation.

4) Telcom sales are a mixed bag. FTTP opportunities look promising, but it's not enough to counterbalance the other problems.

Anyway, it's something to think about before placing a buy order on GLW right now.
