Hi Rich -- one of the best ways to cull a portfolio is to cut those which you think carry the highest risk relative to the rest of your holdings.

The more you concentrate your holdings, the more risk you take on, unless you're in that genius class which believes a small number of holdings is all that you'll ever need!

Of course the risk I'm taking about here is not volatility a.k.a beta -- it's really about defining what fits most snugly into your own zone of comfort.
