Hi t2,

This article raises some interesting concerns about SCMR.

My apologies if this has been posted already. I haven't been able to follow most of the posts here - the East-West Trading Co. and Saratoga Trading Co. boards have kept me busy.

The East-West board is for those interested in combining technical with fundamental analysis.

The Saratoga board is for those interested in learning swing trading as based on Alan Farley's work.

The latter may be of interest for those exploring use of indicators with trading. Farley's system is by far the most comprehensive I've read. It combines the best of price/volume patterns and indicators and while it is intended more for short term time frames, the principles can be very helpful in fine-tuning entry points for longer term time frames. But beware... this is not an easy read!

The reason it may be worth studying other methods of investing is that most strategies that worked during a bull market will not likely work in a bear market. The psychology of a bear market is very different from a bull market; it takes much longer to overcome fear than greed. I suspect it could take a long time before we return to a sustainable bull market.
