History is utterly devoid of examples when such a massive external financing requirement did not result in a sharp depreciation of the currency and/or a concession in the price of other assets -- namely stocks or bonds.

This last sentence taken from the previous post is the meat in the article. Anybody like to predict what effect this would have on other economies - notably Oz !!
