Hives can result from many things.

I used to get them from stress. The allergist said he had patients who got hives from cold temps as well as hot temps.

He even had one patient who got hives whenever he wore pants with a tight waistband.

Hope you can find some relief for your daughter.

Although conventional treatment eventually worked for me, I was left with severe side effects that were almost as bad as the hives themselves, so I sought and received relief through alternative medicine:

Quercetin and Nettles and Vitamin C (I believe sheila has written about these here before in more detail).

I did keep a package of Zyrtec (the only thing that worked for me other than godawful Prednisone), on hand for severe episodes.
