In some situations lubricants are contraindicated. You don't want it when it can pick up and retain grit that can act as an abrasive.

The real question is what kind of bearing the propeller has. It could be anything from a hole drilled in sheet metal and set on a nail or screw, up through an actual ball bearing. And ball bearings can range from something suitable for a toy to industrial grade, unsealed or sealed. If you can prevail on the arborist to take some pictures early on the first day and share them with you right away you might have a better idea of what is what.
