This morning my dark eyed junco was joined by a house finch and a brown bird. Probably a female. Maybe house sparrow or female house finch.

My previous thistle feeder took on rain water and eventually got pitched. It had not been used in some time. I replaced it earlier this year. It has taken a while for the birds to find the new one, but now they seem to enjoy it.

Brown bird stays so close to feeder its hard to see tummy. Has characteristic white streak across back. I've seen probable black capped chickadees around but can't find female.

These are all winter birds that seem to fly in flocks.
