How does one use these factors in making an investment decision? I know there are many other factors to consider, but alot of what I hear and read mentions these two "moving averages". Can anyone provide some advice on how one bakes these into their decision making process?

Welcome to the Motley Fool, Rocky.

You see Moving Averages most talked about in the type of investing called Technical Analysis. I don't do TA, since so much of it is subjective. I do use what's called "Mechanical Investing". The MI Board has done some research on Moving Averages, and have found them to be helpful.

Here is a link to a compilation of backposts which covers our work.

Reading thru these might help you.
