I filed my return mid-afternoon of Feb. 18 using Free Fillable Forms. Received email quickly saying return was successfully transmitted and I should receive an email in 24 to 48 hours saying whether it had been accepted. In the past I've received that email in less than 24 hours. Still haven't received it this year. If I use Check Status on Free Fillable Forms site it says IRS has accepted my return. If I use Where's My Refund on IRS site it says my return is being processed.

I'm holding off on filing my state return until IRS accepts my federal return. Is that taking a lot longer this year?
