So we're having a healthy discussion about getting vaccine-hesistant Americans to take the jab(s). But let's take a moment to see how we got here in the first place... mostly through congressional and state republicans, republican governors, and Fox News.

Tate Reeves of Mississippi called coronavirus vaccine mandates “terrifying,” declaring, “This is still America, and we still believe in freedom from tyrants.” Yet Mississippi has some of the strictest vaccine mandates in the nation, barring parents from claiming “religious, philosophical or conscientious” exemptions.

Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas called the president’s move to mandate vaccinations “a power grab.”

Gov. Henry McMaster of South Carolina promised to fight Mr. Biden in court, to “the gates of he(ck).”

Gov. Greg Gianforte of Montana called federal mandates “unlawful and un-American.”

Gov. Kay Ivey of Alabama vaccine federal mandates “outrageous” and “overreaching.” Alabama refuses to acknowledge “philosophical, moral or ethical” exemptions to mandatory childhood vaccinations.

Of course, every state in the country already mandates certain vaccinations for children, and sometimes for adults.

When Fat Mussolini was running for president in 2016, he suggested that vaccines cause autism.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas said mandates “have always come at the state level, never at the national level. And so this is an unprecedented assumption of federal mandate authority" and the federal government should keep its big fat nose out of his state.

Nebraska governor Pete Ricketts cast doubt on the COVID-19 vaccine, saying parents have had “a long history” with other childhood immunizations but not with the COVID-19 vaccine... that it "should be a personal choice" and the federal government should have no say so in the matter.

Eleven states, including Arizona, Florida and Texas, have already expressly banned Covid-19 vaccine mandates, either through legislation or a governor’s order.

Senator Rand Paul has said that anyone who's had COVID-19 doesn't need to be vaccinated or wear a mask.

Representative Madison Cawthorn of North Carolina said the Biden administration has plans to go door-to-door to reach millions of unvaccinated Americans, and could "take your guns. They could go door-to-door to take your Bibles.”

Representative Lauren Boebert said "Biden has deployed his Needle Nazis to Mesa County...Did I wake up in Communist China?"

Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin linked the vaccine to many adverse reactions and death.

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia urged Americans to “just say no” to the vaccine.

Gov. Ron DeSantis let a man falsely claim the COVID-19 vaccine 'changes your RNA' during an anti-vaccine-mandate press conference in Florida.

DeSantis announced his plans to impose fines on local governments mandating that their employees be vaccinated, "a $5,000 fine for every single violation."

Tucker Carlson told his viewers that “Maybe (the COVID-19 vaccine) doesn't work, and they're simply not telling you that.”

On Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle,” Laura Ingraham touted “natural immunity” over the Covid-19 vaccine.

Fox News anchor John Roberts said that Colin Powell’s death from Covid-19 complications “raises new concerns” about the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Sean Hannity told his audience that the virus was just the Democrats' way "to bludgeon President Trump."

On and on and on and on, the republican efforts against COVID-19 vaccination are endless... and evidently convincing.

Thank you, NewEchota. You and I may not agree on some pop culture stuff, but I look forward to all the light you bring to this TMF Group. A pleasure to read your posts here.

Seriously.

Which is why I'm "Biden at the national level should do so much more to get the word out every which way and then some"-hesitant.

Biden & his Admin have been all over the media on this since before he was elected. The more they encourage vaxxing, the more stubborn the extreme wing-nutz resist. They aren't gonna let the libs/commies/feminazis/egghead scientists/lamestream media/Dem office-holders tell them what to do :-/

The way to get the nay-sayers to vax is for wing-nut leaders (trump & his cabinet, Faux Noise/NewsMin/WAN anchors, Republican office-holders, conservative columnists) to beat the drum for vaxing.

It's too bad Republican leadership was better than Biden, Pelosi, Schumer - President, Speaker, and Leader....passing out a trillion bucks.

I have repeatedly done my part. Every single time a denigrating term for Trump supporters on this issue was used, I copied the whole statement, posted it on multiple sites with hopes of convincing people to be safer, to mask, and vax.

So far it's having the opposite result. I don't know how to make a better pitch.

Doing one's civic duty - hard.

I'm just one man.

Just one man.

Biden’s approach is to hit conservatives in the only place they love. The pocketbook. They don’t care about infecting friends, family or the children. Only money speaks to them.

More and more jobs require vaccines for employment. Get the poke or go broke. It’s that simple.

It’s easy to be “better” when you have 52 or 53 senate seats. Duh.

Too bad they can't govern with a majority as defined by Constitutional "DEMOCRACY!!' that they claim to revere so much.

President

Speaker

Leader

Trillions of bucks.

Couldn't beat a few ignorant governors.

Tribalism kills, doesn't it.

Common civics, common americanism - someone used to say how lack of it will lead to deadly effects.

and....these - are still the good ol' days. This is merely an appetizer.

I don't know how to make a better pitch.

You can start by discarding your "I just don't know who to believe" routine.

No.

It's an easy 90 seconds a day on multiple forums.

Then there's the donut delivery to the "Don't Engage! But I engage 90 times over" Support Group.

Then there's the weekly bingo game at the "oh god, maybe common culture, common civics that someone stalked about - - turned out to be legit".

But no.

I'm not saying vaccines are great. I'm not saying they are a hoax. Heck, Big Dem Pharma makes good money off of them and that's for sure good.

I'm just saying - I don't know what to trust. Vaccines, elections, institutions, Fed insider stock trading, Merrick Garland Woke Cartels, I just don't know.

I'm hardly spread untruths. Just expressing how unsure I am about things.

I'm just plain folks like my old folks, trying to get along in the world. And - social media, in a tribal nation - has many willing ears........

No common culture. No common civics.

These are......... the good old days.

Smile
