I do not use mutual funds I buy equities which have characteristics I like and am willing to part with my capital, to invest in.

Coverdales, we use but 2k / yr is slow gloing.

we use self directed ROTH, IRA and soon 402, self directed .

WHAT about anyother way to invest for kids college inb srtks, compounding Tx free or tax advantaged ?

2 Annuties, i know the area well, but would like to invest in a varabile annuity for tx free compouning, but don't wish to take
the current bnd mkt terrible risks and will not use mutual equity funds.

Is tehre a way to invest in ineididual securities in a tax deffereed annuity ?
Private annuity maybe ?
