I just received my credit report and am interesting in learning more about how credit is granted based on this report. Are there any resource available that explains how to score your report, what is an acceptable debt to income ratio, etc. I am interested in this for 2 reasons: I have been declined for credit card offers because of high debt and would like to know what is considered high. The second reason is I am interested in buying a condo which would would mean a lower mortgage than I currently pay in rent.

Any suggestions. Thanks in advance
