Not to intrude, or take this off topipc, but as a person who snores pretty bad - you may want to recommend to your husband to get checked out for sleep apnea. Apnea may lead to very loud snoring, but can also lead to some other serious problems. Forgetfulness, depresion, chronic fatigue, irritability.

I was diagnosed a few times with severe apnea. Some outrageous number of breathing pauses per hour, I think it was like 112 or so. Some lasting just a few seconds, others up to about a minute. About 2 years ago I started trying to use the CPAP machine. Which with my sleeping style just did not work - I don't like to be touched.... at all. So a mask on the face kept me wide awake the whole night. I opted for the UPPP surgery (look it up because it is long and I can't spell it). And now I am most likely going to go in and have another round of surgery.

Been there, done that. I finally got him to the doctor about 2.5 years ago. He did the sleep study and has severe apnea (which I told him he had for years). He also refused the CPAP machine. I've been trying to talk him into another visit to the doctor to discuss other options. I do think it has seriously affected his health, chronic fatigue, some depression, impotence all complicated by morbid obesity.

Always ;-)
