I agree. Got married and no longer working would qualify as retired in most senses

My wife worked until she was about thirty, but then health issues forced her to quit working and become a stay-at-home mom.

I, on the other hand, have been working seven days a week at two jobs for twenty years.

But I've never once thought of my wife as being retired. She's like most house-spouses, in that she's dependent on the other spouse's income.

But is that considered retired?
