I also have a baked mashed potato dish that I have served in the past. It worked well because I could make the dish a day ahead. I also want to serve sweet potatoes. Again, this would be a baked dish. I don't have much oven space. We'll also need to heat the rolls in the oven. I'm thinking about making the stuffing in a crock pot. Does this work well? I think that we ill cook vegetables on top of the stove.

Mashed. We always do mashed potatoes. My sister makes them fairly early in the day and then puts them in the crock pot with a lid and the heat on low until it's time to eat. But then, we eat the Big Meal at lunch time so we can can all sit around like zombies in tryptophan induced comas until it's time to start having sandwiches. ;-)

As for stuffing, I've never done it in the crockpot. Multiple crockpots may be a good answer though. Amend the things that others bring to 'desserts, salads and a crockpot.'
