i am retired and have some cash i would like to invest in MAIN...i am concerned on the tax side of

the investment....do i get a 1099 or a K1 or something else? Do these show up at the same time as

1099's or when hell freezes over like the K1's...i have owned llc's before but not currently.

any other tax advice that addresses BDC's would be helpfull

thanks in advance!

Per "MAIN's" 10-K the company has elected to be taxed as a REIT. that means you will be getting a 1099-DIV from them, generally late.
